I’m Maria Hiess, a Melbourne photographer with over 10 years of experience in model testing.
I’ve been working extensively with model agencies establishing great working relationships.
I offer photography packages dedicated to ambitious new and professional talent looking to build their portfolio, with a proven photographer and team, that works with agency models all the time - on both agency model portfolios and on actual client campaigns.
My sessions provide direction to comfortably step in front of the lens to show your best features.

Receive all clean unedited photographs from the sessionSession includes:
- 30 mins session

1-2 styling looks (f.ex. t-shirt-top and fitted pants +swimsuit)
- Shoot with photographer for 1 hour
- Location or studio
- 5 quick-edits with 3 complimentary retouches

- Shoot with photographer for 1-2 hours
- Location or studio
- 5 quick-edits with 8 complimentary retouches

- Reserve an entire studio day to facilitate multiple time slots for talent testing.

Each session includes:
• Concept discussion, moodboard consultation, advice and support to produce the best results on the shoot day.
• Contact sheets of all photographs for review and selection within 48hrs.
• Choose your own images.
• Additional edits are available at just $35 each.
• With each Model Test/Model Portfolio shoot package you will also recieve a complimentary B&W version of the final edits.
Image delivery: After the shoot, the untouched photos will be delivered through private link within 48 hrs for you to review and make selections for retouching. The final retouched images delivered within 7-10 days via a download link.
Studio (optopnal):
• My studio is based in Kingsbury, VIC 3083 and is available to shoot at on request.
Please note:
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is be required to secure the date and time of the shoot.
• Prices and deliverables effective 1 July 2024, and subject to change unless/until 50% deposit has been received.
• Models are expected to bring their own clothing and have their makeup done before the session.
• Stylist & Hair and Makeup Artist available on requests, are to be paid directly subject to their terms.
